    Kenai Hooligan

The last two weeks of May and the first week of June are usually the best times. Using the bigger gill nets season ends at the end of may. After that you can still use the smaller hand held gillnets.
I always fish from the shore as it is a lot less hassle.Usually from the Kenai public beach area. We used to fish under the bridge but a more difficult walk and too many snags .
Seems the run changes every year but I also have to deal with my slope schedule and sometimes I just miss them. Will give an update in a couple of weeks CHRIS

mostly curious about run timing and best stretches of river.
... just dip under the access bridge in early June. You should be able to grab several 5 gallon buckets full. If you need nets, let me know.

On your end of things, Fox River has a run too, I hear. Would be a fun wheeler trip.
