We did ok. 3 Trout hooked for sure. Only one landed. Half dozen silvers chasing what ever you flipped out there. Some still not spawned and full of it. Nice trout though and a great day on the river.
Great Job Jose. Killer fish this time of year

Thanks guys and it was a great drive down and back and great fun in the blue bird weather yesterday. I know we got a few honks frm passing cars when they crossed the bridge. Lots of waving, good friends, cold beverages and even a few fish. Big hog caught on a bead. Another hooked but not landed on ESL and another lost on Articulating Flesh. I even switched to a small bead head nymph and the silvers will still banging the heck out of it. Very very aggressisve still. Fun on the 5wt but of course they we are released back to finish thier dutiesGrandkids, Making big tough guys hearts melt at first sight

Oh so a little more to add to this "story"As Im pulling into sportsmans I see Jose and sam parked at the south end of the parking lot and I see jeep parked by the fence by the restrooms pointed at the river. i see a guy scurring back to his side of the truck and a girl pulling her dress down running to her side. I get out and Sam and Jose are just loosing it. I guess this couple felt the "urge" to ummmmmmmm DO IT. Right there in the balmy 15 degrees with a great view of the river leaning on the fence. Man I thought the pool thing was shrinkage but brrrrrrrrrr. Always something fun happening at the river

I fished up there last weekend with very similar results. Basically fished a few hours for 1 trout and a couple other LDR's. It was windy as I'll get out though.... A couple buddies also fished at the bridge and a couple other spots yesterday w/ the same story. They both fished 6 hours for 1 trout each, trying everything in the box.
There have been some good reports from the middle of the week though, so I think it's just hit and miss, depending upon the mood of the fish.

Chuckie
FYI, if you keep it in a nice warm place it doesn't shrink.
