  • Kodiak Custom jig question

I am thinking of buying a few just to try out and i have a question. How long is the tail part on them. I am planning on using them for halibut and lings. Any favorite colors?

Length is probably dependent on what weight you get. I think 14oz is their biggest. I've tried the black, dark blue, and light blue. They seem to have about the same catch rate. All of them have a white glow skirt underneath so color might not be that big of deal.

I was just trying to figure out how long the skirt is on a 14oz Jig. Thanks for the color tips!

Skirts are 6-1/2". The overall size is the same on the 10oz. and 14oz. bottom jig.

In Homer the most productive for me are the glow/pink and glow/black.

In Seward I tend lean towards the aqua or blue.

PWS I change the skirt to a glow/red or glow/orange for best success. Lings like the orange.

Do I give my friends advice? Jesus, no. They wouldn't take advice from me. Nobody should take advice from me. I haven't got a clue about anything..
