      If you've never fished for Goliath Grouper (Jewfish) you are missing out. The fish here have no power by comparison.

            Sorry to sday, but I noticed the same thing, I think alot of it has to do with water temp too. The kings I use to fish on Lake Ontario, it was nothing to have a 25lb fish empty 300yds of 20lb off a reel, would happen not daily, but close to it. I've never even thought about having to turn on a fish becasue of that, gotta be becasue of the 60-70degree surface temps the fish ends up coming into aftet the strike. But I think the cold water makes it easier to release the fish as well, by the time kings got the boat there, they were exhausted, here, still full of piss n vinegar, probably the reason I get a face full of water eveytime I realease a Ling.
