  • A Good day!

Here are a few pics from a good day on the ice a few weeks ago. Caught the largest pike I have ever caught and might ever catch. The pike was 42 inches long and weighed in at 24 lbs 9 ounces. All told I ended up with 22 pike for a days worth of enjoying the sun.

So am I allowed to ask what planet you caught those fish at? How about narrowing it down to country.....

NICE.....I hope it was pulled out of the Susitna drainage somewhere....so it's not eating any more salmon fry!
Good looking pike, keep it up.

I hope it wasn't in the Susitna Drainage..... it needs to eat all the hammer handle pike that are eating all the salmon fry.

        Nice HUGE Slime Rocket!!!!!! Congrats!!!

The fish was caught out of the Yentna river drainage. Of course I was not planing on going fishing, Just woke up at the cabin and it was a nice day so decided to go. So I am an idiot and did not have a derby ticket. O well lesson learned, won't happen again.

I wouldn't be surprised if the belly was empty. Most large pike I've seen have empty bellies. Yes, they eat small pike, but not often. Like a big python, they eat a big meal, every few weeks, then digest for a while. Great pike, btw!
