Attention Homerdave and Yulon Cornelious!

As you may recall I made a few pike fishing jigs this winter.
One was a handfull of jigs that went to Homerdave for him to use to get his first Ice Pike.
The two boxes I made went to the villages. One to Yukon Cornelious in Holy Cross and one to friends in Bethel.
Well Homerdave did send me some pike pics but it sounds like he lost the fish he hooked on my jigs.
But my friends in Bethel had a bit better luck.
Let me preface this with: All these fish will be eaten none are left to waste. Most will go to village elders who like to eat pike but who may not be able to get out a catch their own anymore.
Anyway this is the results you guys (Yukon Cornelious and Homerdave) should have if you use those jigs properly.

I believe there were 2 adults and 2 kids fishing.
They got them in just a few hours.
I was told one of the kids had 6 or 8 fish in the first 5 minutes while everyone else was still getting ready.
Their technique is to use a stout dowl rod with heavy braid on it.
They fish shallow so they are in/out with the fish fairly quickly and back down for another.
Most of these fish get dried. Then they dip in seal oil before eating it.

Man that is pretty cool. Wish I had some better jigs. Not getting nothing for bites at long lake willow today.

Chris's jigs and gear are super pro. I have two rods set for jigs and four tip-ups with his quick-strike gear rigged for tomorrow. Hopefully I can seal the deal with a kenai pike in the morning!!
