Would love to spend a day on the Kasilof sometime between Aug. 20-27th. I know you generally have to book well in advance for good guides but it wasn't possible this year as we only recently were able to clear dates for our trip. That said, I am hopeful that somebody will be available late August. Maybe somebody needing one or two guys to fill out a boat. Any recommendations?

Call Bob Ball at Piscatorial Pursuits, 252-0209 to talk with him or 252-5362 if you just want to book a trip. He also has a nice web site to look at. He has guided on the Kasilof for 21 years and knows the river and how to catch fish. He is my son-in-law and will give you an honest opinion on what to expect with the fishing. He has a big drift boat that fishes 4 in comfort. If he has an open seat me and my wife will be begging for a seat to sit in when the silvers are in. He uses a fly rod and eggs for the silvers and it is a hoot. Be patient and listen to him as he will say wait, wait, wait when the fish takes the bait. Bring a big lunch, good rain gear and plenty of warm clothes and a dog bone for Rainey, the worlds most well behaved Lab. Good fishing to you.
