Today was slow in Soldotna so this afternoon I decided to drive to Homer and back (never been). Went by Kasilof and, oh my! What a zoo! Guess everyone left the Kenai and went south. Hundreds of dipnetters and most had fish. On the way back, I stopped at Ninilcik and saw another sight. At 6pm tonight, straight out from the mouth of the Ninilcik was 50-75 very large commercial boats. They were up to about a mile offshore with some closer. What a sight!

So, what does that mean (timing-wise) for us lowly bank fishing rod n reel types for Soldotna??

It means - it was a good time to take a ride.
