  • Kenai Sockeye limit

So I read in some magazine (don't recall where) that the daily limit on Kenai would be 6 for Sockeye in 2014.

This here says POSSESSION limit is 6 but doesn't say if that is just 3 / day and 6 in possession or what

    https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/sf/EONR/...n.NR&NRID=1904

This here says daily limit is 6 but not official source.

    http://www.finfeatheralaska.com/fishing-seasons/

Regulations says 3 / day 6 in possession...

    what at am I missing?

Limit is 3 per day, 6 in possession. Which translates to 3 per day and three in the cooler from yesterday back at camp.

Which makes the second link flat out wrong "The daily limit for Kenai River Drainage Sockeye has been increased this year to 6 fish per day."

Live4chrome - I agree on your interpretation / statement but think the first link of changes should have stated that it remained 3 fish / day and the only change was 6 in possession

By the end of the week I bet seeing those numbers hitting the Kenai so far looks like a good season is upon us. Unless the state truns the com guys loose like last year then well we are screwed.

Every day in Soldotna/Kenai is a zoo during the ripping and dip netting season.
