Pikes Slaughtered *Viewer Discretion Advised*

Local news reports 13 pikes were slaughtered in a local lake. 13 confirmed dead and 8 wounded. Fishermans are on loose and have been identified as armed and dangerous with automatic fishings poles and have been seen carrying an arsenal of deadly lures. Locals are to be on the look out and to report to the pike authorities immediately if they are spotted!



Had a blast and I'll be having some Cajun pike fish sticks tonight. Fish on!

I love it! Take as many pike as you can. I consider them a foreign invader and noctous weedy species. I love fishing for them in Canada where they belong but keep'em out of Alaska!

I dont think he is. That landing in the photo looked really familiar. Ive been to that lake a few times. That little shore part especially.

Thats a stocked trout lake but Ive heard they have a lot of problems with the pike eating the fry.

Wow, thats awesome. I had no idea they were in there. Fire Lake is just up the road!

It's a bit tricky to find them but once you find that one hole... They are stacked up in there! I call it the "Black hole". It's a 5-7 feet deep hole surrounded with thick weeds. Pretty much all the fish came out of there. But we did manage to land a few along the shorelines with bass spinner baits and rapalas "mini pike".

Fished that exact spot on sunday afternoon. We had our 2 yr old in the canoe with us so didn't get to fish long. Caught 3.

well I have heard there is pike in there, but it isn't worth the effort.............nice pics by the way.

It's delicious! Pike meat seems to be underestimated for it's good taste. Or is it because people are just to lazy to mess with the the y bones? Ive always been a bass person maybe that's why I enjoy it. Very similar texture and taste. And deep fried fish stick breaded with Cajun spices rocks!

Oh and almost forgot! The good ol' homemade dippin' sauce that goes with it brings it to perfection!
