Hey all,
I was thinking about arranging a tour of a fish hatchery in the anchorage area, but I'm a little confused as to what is actually open. I know they are building a brand new facility next to the old Elmendorf hatchery on Ship creek, which is set to open very soon, if not already. And then there is the Fort Richardson hatchery as well, a bit upstream.
If I wanted to see a fully operational hatchery with both adult and fry, what's my best bet?
Also, is Fort Richardson hatchery accessible from off base, or does one need a military ID to get to it?
Thanks,
