  • This could be a game changer...

    I was impressed with some of the innovative offerings I saw at The Fly Fishing Show here in NC back in February. Namely the sculpin helmets from this company. Check out this articulating set up.

    I'm a big fan of the sculpin helmets. I like to use mink or squirrel zonkers usually rather than rabbit zonkers. Nice looking quick tie.


    The fish spine are cool, but I don't see a lot of use for them for my own flies. Maybe some neat pike flies, but for trout I'll probably stick with using wire, braid, or multiple hook shanks lashed together.

      I made up a couple two tone triple articulated flesh flies using those shanks that worked very well last weekend. I'm a fan for sure.
