  • Take 2!

Took the Flip out again for the second time trying to capture some footage and man was i rewarded, I was gifted with the biggest bow of my life. We caught several others and one other one that went 25 inches but forgot to grab the camera with all the excitement. After i released the 25 incher i threw my fly back into the water, to my surprise whaaaam another nice fish within 2 mins, After a screaming run i got a glimps of the fish, boy was i surprised and then the fight was on, my lil ole' 5wt was bent in half and after 6 mins of hard fighting the beast was had. Just over 27 inches long. by far one of the biggest bows ive seen in this particular wartershed. I had to cut the video up some to not show any of the surrounding area. Gotta protect my spot right haha. After a few seconds of revival she gave me one hell of a shower and off she went. Def a fish to remember and glad i had a camera. Enjoy!

Perhaps these fish were paired up on a spawning redd... spawning 'bows get highly territorial and pissed when their mate gets all jacked around... I know I would be.

                          It windows live movie maker.

Jack- where i caught these at were on the back end of some spawning bows and i noticed the smaller one of the two actively feeding on eggs as they were drifting down. from the video you can see that its a fairly deep hole. also took some underwater footage of the hole and there were quite a few sockeye in the 10-12in range and a few bows feeding on bugs and eggs.

Nice fish and video, but was the really a 27'' fish? Looked low 20's to me. But anyways, nice fish!

i agree its deceiving, but she measured out to be 27 1/8th, Maybe due to her being a fatty but i dont know.
