  • Copper River Fish Count

According to the counter at Miles Lake there were 7,000 up the river by now. They have not reported one this year. Unless they are not set up yet?

Sounds like they are having trouble with ice, probably both the humans and the salmon. "The Miles Lake sonar camp is being deployed today, May 15, 2020. The north and south bank sonar sites are currently ice free, but continued breakup of Miles Lake ice is expected to make sonar deployment challenging in the coming days."https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/static/a...1153730202.pdf

There's another sonar project further downriver that has counted almost 200 fish so far.
