Kenai Dock Hours?

I meant to call earlier but forgot. Getting an answering machine now.

Does anyone know the hours that the city dock is open for launching and retrieving boats?

On another note....any news on what the line has been looking like lately?

sign on Bridge Access Road say it is closed 2 hours before and after low tide.

The parking lot and boat launch are open 24 hours a day as far as I know. At off-hour and off-peak times you have to get a parking/launch pass and pay at the ramp like a lot of places and put the receipt in you window. That doesn't happen very often during dipnetting because the dipping is closed from 11 at night to 6 in the morning. As far as closing for the low tides, you have to watch the tide tables. I forget exactly what the number is but the ramp is good to a point. Its the minus tides that expose the mud and cause problems so the ramp isn't always closed.

yeah....and until I get a smaller outboard.....It's a pain one day a year for me too...
