  • What's This Worth??

 I picked up this E-Dyne and davit system a few days ago. I'm not at all dialed in to what shop fabrication costs are, so I was hoping some of you who are might be able to give me a notion of what it would cost to have a davit like this built. As is, it will need to be modified before I can use it on my project. The "gusseting" that holds the puller is 3/8" plate...The upper portion of pipe is 3" o.d. but I have no idea what schedule it might be. The whole thing...davit and puller weighs 138 lbs. The point of the question is to determine a ball park value of the davit so I can decide if I want to sell it, modify it or use it for trading stock with a fabricator and have something built to fit. Thanks for any input.

I hope so...seems a little big for a Harvey Dory. That's why I liked my box set up on my 20' as the weight was down so low. This would go on my 22' Harvey with a modified v hull (the one I should have finished this summer). Would need to be shortened about 5" to work and attach points modified. Here's another pic of the davit...

Interesting...kind of in between, I guess...it is less than a marking line ( a very skinny line) on my mm gauge under 6mm.

Asking what it will cost on this forum is not going to help you. You need to make a drawing with dimensions of what you want done and take it a shop along with the davit and get a quote.

I'm actually looking for one right now so if it doesn't work for you I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Cash in hand!

I bought it for the puller...would part with the davit, though. PM sent.
