Glad you found a great shop to work on your boat.
Good luck with getting a motor you want and happy boating for years to come.

Called Mary Ann today in Homer. Got to talk to Lee. Great people on the phone. We havetie options to chose from. Thanks again. Kudos to the forum and members. Looks like we might have this figured out.

Just to let others know I considered a larger mercruiser when I repowered.
The motor itself wasn't that much more. Maybe $400-$600 or so.
But they also told me the New gears I would need in the upper end of my outdrive to utilize that power was in the range of $1,600.
Since I was funding this out of pocket for cash I just couldn't justify the added expense.
    This was going from a 4.3l v6 to a v8 motor.

Marine Services in Homer should have what you are looking for on the floor in their shop.
At least I think I saw that engine when I was in there 3 weeks ago. They had several brand new inboards on the floor.
They are the oldest mercury shop in Alaska and have very knowledgeable and certified staff. Mercury is all they do. So it will have a full factory warranty.
Give Marianne a call and see if they have one in stock. If not they can order them.
They just replaced the motor in my 23" Trophy and I am very pleased with them.
They also seem to beat the prices of other dealers in Alaska. They sold me a Brand new prop cheaper than the Soldotna mercury shop could buy it for themselves at.

    Looking for new mercruiser engine..

Anyone have any advice, options or know of who or where I can get a new Mercruiser 305 (250hp) engine for my bayliner?

Don't want to deal with a new long block only. Looking for whole package warranty and all.

    Thanks
