Hey thanks, i saw those guys yesterday at the ramp when they were hauling the boat out, The pot rack is what caught my eye and then i saw the hauler and knew who it was. I really like the clean and simple way you designed the davit and mount!! The kids said everything worked great and they were all smiles. Good work all around.

But with a rack this nice why not just build a hard top from the start and save the expense of buying a canvas roof?
Hard top options are 3-x the cost and probably 3-4x the weight. Not as easily removable I suppose also. This particular rack has the wire's routed through the pipe so it won't be as easy to remove either but it's definitely doable.

Here's the latest roof rack built by the forum sponsor Ak Frontier Fabrication, installed on a new 2011 Seahawk IB Jet.

It does appear to interfere with the removal of the ragtop if you decided to fold it down...but I'm probably wrong.

BK, you have to unpin the main bow section first and the move the top back and then down. Goes down and up very quick and easy. Total weight after coating was probably 70-80lbs.

started a topic North River Roof Rack

    North River Roof Rack

Here's some pictures of a roof rack recently built by forum sponsor. The customer is having problems get the pictures to post so I though I'd share. He wanted something to carry his shrimp pots and was pleasantly please with the results. We'll be building another one soon which will incorporate a radar, stern light and deck light.
