  • Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease

I was wondering if anyone had another recomendation for a good wheel bearing grease. I am currently using the Evinrude EP grease and it is working great. The problem is having to drive across town to find out it's out of stock. I am hoping to find another grease that will be compatable, waterproof and locally available. What are you guys using for your grease and where are you buying it? Thanks in advance!

Converted to oil bath hubs 5 years ago and not a single hub issue since then.

Do you use same style bearing and seals? Have an oil bath on my snowmachine trailer and have hard time finding seals.
Which concerns me if it goes bad somewhere remote, you can buy bearings and seals about anywhere I usually have a spare set with me. Where did you get the conversion set? Thanks, Kurt

Can you buy the Moly 880 locally? Looks like a great grease looking at the specs.

It seemed strange to me that AMDS only stocks is seasonally. I usually only buy it 2 tubes at a time but I guess I better start getting it in larger amounts. That is also why I was looking into another grease that would be more available but also be compatable with the type I am using so I won't have to totally clean out my grease. I pretty much use one grease for all of my applications. Seems to work well for me. The Amsoil will fit the bill but I do wonder when only one place carries it, how available it will be in the future.

AIH sells WD-40 Specialist marine grade water resistant grease. I just lubed up my boat trailer with it so no long term eval yet.
