  • Where to get life raft in Anchorage

I am wanting to pick up a Zodiak 6-person coastal life raft (or something similar). Anyone know any stores that have one in stock?

    Thanks

Eagle Safety solutions on International Airport road I believe will be the only place in town. They certify them at least and I am almost certain they sell them as well.

      I like these:

Great local support. Actual prices are cheaper than the web site prices, so don't let them scare you off.

I second the Alaska Series as a tender. If you want an actual stowable/auto inflating life raft, Eagle Safety is probably the best choice.

Yeah, I'm trying to find a auto inflating life raft. I contacted Eagle Safety but they have nothing in stock and can't get anything in for a few weeks. The trip I'm planning is for next week or so. I also tried West marine but they don't seem to stock much.

You can order online and have it in a week easy, probably save money too.

If you order online, be careful about the shipping since most things have to come air to AK, and there is an issue with the auto inflate being a hazardous material.

Any online places you could recommend?

Problem I'm finding is that they have to be shipped ground as they can't fly due to being considered a hazardous item. Some of the shipping quotes I'm getting are a few weeks. Problem is I'm not living in Anchorage so can't get one delivered. I'm flying up to pick up a boat and bring it down and was hoping to buy one up there.

Fedex will ship a coastal auto inflate raft, they just charge more since it is tagged as hazardous. I have done it before. These guys are great to deal with and have fair prices:
