What outboard motor option does NR suggest for this setup? Also, what would be an estimated price for the IB Diesel?

NR suggest a pair of 150s or a single 225 or 250 with a kicker. I''ll pm you on IB diesel pricing.

Just received a photo of the new 24' seahawk hardtop taken while in fab last week. Should be able to do some serious shrimping with this boat.

North River is the best built boat?? There are several I would think that could give them a run for this title:

Sorry, but it seems like there should be some truth in advertising. Do you really think North River is better build than these manufactures? Have you ever looked closely at these manufactures as well as North River? I have, and while North River is a nice boat, I don't think it compares with any of these.

That's a bold statement "I don't think it compares with any of these" i've yet to see a boat that's so great or so bad it doesn't compare with another boat. I Don't own a north river or a phantom I don't even know Mel but he's seems to be saying at the price point he's confident in his product.

I think if I had made the list longer, it may have been a bold statement, but certainly not with the manufactures I have listed. To restate this, I think all of the manufactures listed are clearly 'better built' than North Rivers. I don't say this to bash North Rivers, I think they are a fine boat, I am just not comfortable with someone saying it is the 'best built' boat without challenging it.

Now if the dealers statement was really that they are the best built boats for the price, then that is a differently statement entirely. I guess the same statement can be made about an '80's Bayliner, since it is the lowest price boat you can buy for the size and features. That being the case, it is the best built for the price, right?
