  • Learn to Canoe

UAA is holding its water-based courses this summer. The beginning courses are designed for any person, with little to no experience who wants to learn the basics of the activity; the beginner classes take place on nights and one extended weekend. The intermediate classes, designed for skilled individuals, have a longer time in the field (7+ days).
If you are interested in learning the fundamental skills for safe paddling on rivers, lakes, and oceans consider taking one of our water-based classes this summer. All technical equipment is provided with course enrollment, personal equipment purchase or rental may be necessary; limited selection of personal equip available through the HPER Department.
