That is a really nice boat and the quality of your work shows ive been welding and fixing boats for 37 years and i always like to see the quality work that some people put into there products that are american made. to many companys selling out and getting it done cheaper overseas. I canít remember did he sell it to someone in Alaska or did he take it back to Texas? If so where is it at, I would love to see how it performs?

The boat is in Alaska still. He flew home to film a show. I will make a new post about it. He will be back soon to do some riding. He would love to meet up with more people.

Travis thanks for the kind words. I am proud of the Business my father started and my family will continue to run it the same way.

That is a huge question with many viriables. Seems to all come down to the thrust (push power of the motor, prop) and the weight of the boat. The more the power (torque) of the motor, the bigger the prop that can be turned, and the lower the gearbox that can be utalized to compound the power. Skip in Fbk tells me that he runs a atv trail to his hunt camp in 45 minutes, where it use to take him 2-3 hrs on his atv, and that is without water. In addition to the power/weight ratio, the set up and design of the boat is very important, balance of where the weight is, type of bottom, etc is all very critical. Also, operator skill is critical, experienced people can make a boat go though and over where others would be stuck and need help. There are lots of variables, go to www.southernairboat.com for more information, they answer that question allmost every day it seems. Bud
