Default Please take me fishing....

Ok, we will give this one a try. In trying to keep the "Open Seat" thread a bit more cleaned up, this thread will be for those who are looking for someone to take them along and show them the ropes or just help out with a fishing trip.

If you are visiting or just have a hard time getting out, plead your case and maybe someone will be able to help out and offer an invite.

If you want to invite someone who posts on this thread, please respond to them via PM so the thread doesn't get too confusing.

Tight lines and screamin reels!

Default Two soldiers

I posted this earlier on the open seat thread and will now try the take me fishing thread.

One guy is leaving AK soon and wants a last AK fishing trip and the other is about to leave for Afghanistan. We can help with gas or whatever else (transportation, etc). Just looking for some help and guidance.

Default Party of 7

Hello...

Looking for a 1 or 2 day fishing trip in Seward the weekend of the 8th or 15th (salmon, halibut, or???) for 3 - 4 boys (12, 14, 14 ,15) and mom, myself and friend (7 people)... I will provide deckhand services (okay... maybe catch one fish ). Will pay all expenses including setting you up in hotel in Seward (Holiday Inn Express) for the weekend.

Thanks

I'll give this a try!!!

My buddy and I will be in Sitka from Sept 5-12th. We will probably be booking a charter for Halibut/silver/ and any leftover Kings when we get there, plus will be looking to do some trout fishing.

Please use this post for recommending a good outfitter/charter

or

if you feel comfortable with a couple guys from Idaho tagging along on your boat that would be even better!!!

I'm From Boise, Id and would be happy to reciprocate with a Duck/goose hunt here in Southwest ID. anytime for someone that takes us out and shows us the ropes.

Thanks

I would love to go out fishing as well. AlaskaGray hasn't called me yet (hint hint ), so I will try here. I will gladly help out with gas and even supply the beer during or after the fishing. Looking at maybe halibut, salmon, shrimp, or just a relaxing day on the water if we don't catch anything. Attached a pictue just so you don't think I am a maniacal ax murderer or something (even though we, I mean they, look like everyone else). One stipulation..might have to bring my husband or another forum member along as well....

Hi,

Just getting back from Iraq, have a group of guys 3 or 4 that will be headed to Valdez from 14-16 Aug. Was wondering if you are located in the Valdez area or know of anyone that could possibly help with a fishing trip. We are willing to help with all expenses.. Thanks

Hiya!

So I am a college student at UAA and there is two weeks before classes start up again in the fall. Normally I would go fishing with a few of my friends but one is down with his father for about a month and the other is bogged down with work. I was wondering if anybody felt like taking a fly fisher fishing I can pay my share of gas/fuel/fees so yeah if anybody feels like having me tag along, send me a PM!

Default 'lil help in Cordova please

I am planning a trip to Cordova 4-10 Sept to fish silvers and hunt some ducks. I have a flat back canoe and I can not find a decantly priced small 2.5-6 HP motor for it around here. I am hoping someone out there could borrow or rent me one for that time if I can not buy one by then. Please PM me. I could also use some fishing advise down there.

I'm really river rainbow deprived right now and will by flying north on monday night. If anyone is planning on hitting the kenai on tuesday and/or wednesday and has an open seat please pm me. I would be glad to help pay for gas. Also I have some buddy passes (round trip ticket anywhere era flies for 30 bucks) that i would be willing to exchange for some good fishing!

Just a little about me. I'm 23 years old and work for Era aviation although I was also a fly fishing guide in bristol bay for several years. I love kodiak but i the thing i enjoy most is big water for big rainbows which kodiak does not have. I'm heading to the nak in late september and the kenai on the 1 but I would like to hit the kenai a little sooner.

Default anyone have any seats open for labor day weekend?

My son arrived back in Fairbanks from iraq Yesterday.

We are coming up next week, and are hoping he can get a 3 or 4 day pass over labor day weekend.

If he gets a 4 day, we will probably hit seward and have an offer for a fishing ride there. If he can only get a 3 day pass, we will probably have to hit Valdez... too long of a drive to Seward I think. I am hoping someone will have a couple of spots on a boat out of Valdez for him, me (of course) and his little brother.

Thanks in advance!

Wife and I are planning a suicide run down to Valdez this coming weekend. We were hoping to rent a boat while down there but the military boats (my wife is an Army nurse) are all rented up. Anyone heading out for Silvers Sat. & Sun. and looking for some help with gas, etc.?

We have rods and some gear (flashers, hooks, pink ladies) but just don't have a boat. Both of us are pretty fair fishers and not crazy

PM me.

Default i fish the upper kenai

im dan, i no longer have my boat and i 've yet to float the upper kenai. i'm 52, non smoker, love to hunt ducks, have good fly fishing gear money can buy but have yet to hang onto a trophy rainbow. i am a student and have questions and i can hook kings every summer but not so versed on the bows yet. Been living in ak since 2004. drink beer, can bring a few good cigars and would sure like to get out there. i live in sterling & have good transportation. I'm not a pest. maybe we can do some castin and blastin up there. i know some good out of the way places for a hearty duck hunter in October into November. mallards in your face give me a call. 741-1880 any time
