Default Pike 09

My daughter caught 2 small 17-18" pike Saturday Ice fishing. We also managed to catch and release 15-20 rainbows in the 12-14" range.

Just for you Dean. Not this year. A few years back. It was a 4th of July and it was about 70F out . . . and flat calm.

I want to make it clear that I don't normally keep big females like this. I usually let all 100# fish go. Just cut the leader off. This was the first barn door fish the kid had seen and he really wanted to keep it. We've let several go the past two summers approaching 150#. The tide book pegged this one at 207# +/-

These aren't Alaska fish, but they're fish none the less. I thought you all might enjoy them.
