    Cool setup, but wouldn't want to hit a rock with that, could take out the whole pod leaving you with a large hole.

    The Pod has been around for a while. Needs lots of draft. The hole in the bottom of the boat is actually less then what it takes to mount an outdrive unit, most of what you see is reinforcement plate. Seen one on a trailer 2 years ago and got to do a close up investigation. It's made for bigger boat applications and ones not normally trailered.

    But that could change with a single pod, if they can keep the cost down.
