    Default Klepper canvas repair needed...

    He all.

I got a used Klepper last Fall and it needs a seam repaired where the deck and the hull come together.

It will require a heavy duty machine rather than my home sewing machine...I am unsure where to go for someone up HERE who can do a good job on the repair rather than paying shipping to Long Haul or Klepper. I'd do it myself if my machine would take the rubber hull material but it's just too thick.

Anyone know of a custom canvas place or someone who repairs folding kayaks???

    Thanks in advance.

Most upholstery shops have the equipment to do the job. So does AK Tent & Tarp.

A canvas Kayak? Interesting. Must be light weight. So where do you plan on fishing with it? Looks like fun!

The bottom hull of the Klepper is actually a heavy duty rubber sort of material...hypalon...and the deck is made of canvas. It is one you can fold and assemble. German made and very sea worthy. I got a double specifically to fish with and for expeditions. Plenty of room for my dogs, my gear and me........

Thanks Toxic...I thought I'd called them in the past and they only do flat work. I was thinking the kind of place that makes biminis for boats or that made my canvas for my fishing boat...but just don't know the area.
