    Default Situk River 2011 report

Officially back from one of the greatest fishing experiences ever! What a week it has been. Booked this trip about 5 months ago and had been waiting for the day to come! Stayed with Glacier Bear Lodge in Yakutat on a 3 day 4 night package deal. I must say it was a pretty sweet gig. Warm bed, hot shower, rental car, and great food with great beer! The weather couldn't have been sunnier which made for tricky fishing conditions but all in all it ended up being a fantastic experience. What warriors these chrome fish are! Countless hookups and several landed between my buddy and I during the trip. Even got in a trip to the hole just a couple hours before we had to fly out this morning! The Situk has definitely made me a better angler...Can't wait to go again! If you have yet to fish this river don't cheat yourself anymore! Get it done!!!
