    Default Fort Green

Can anyone tell me what happened to the store "Fort Green" in Wasilla, Ak? I was there a couple of years ago and would like to visit again. They had a museum of trapping and dressed fur for sale. Thanks.

The building is still there, but after Bob Green passed away, the Alaska Range Trapping Supplies (ARTS) part of the business moved to 4241 W. Parks Highway (just north of Wasilla). The trapping museum portion went to son Dan Green and the trapping supply business went to daughter Abbey Green-Sheppard. Not sure what Dan did with all the great museum stuff, but suspect he kept it for his personal collection. ARTS still has dressed fur for sale, but the store is on Summer hours (only open on Saturdays, noon to 5pm I think). If you are looking for something in particular in the way of tanned furs, maybe I can help. Drop me a PM and I will see what I can do for you.

I will be in Wasilla on 6-11-2011 thru 6-24-2011. I would like to buy a Wolf and a Wolverine for wall hangers. I didn't do it while I was there a couple of years ago and Fort Green had a fairly good selection. My personal email is dvranish@yahoo.com.
