    Good.

Kinda like fencing of the veggie garden after the moose have decimated it.....

    ...But it's a start.

yea its a start...I fear too late of a start. last 5 - 7 years has been straight downhill. I often wondered if it was overharvest or Otters.

Most likely BOTH. I just read a Clarion article talking about the Razors being small but still abundent along dp ck- Ninny beach area. Good news there, i guess.

China Poot and Jackaloff bay are not that big they need protection ..... I go into Jackaloff with the C180 now and then, a runway that is submerged at high tide, end of the road from Seldovia. When I go there I am looking for steamers, take a 4 tine potato rake and a bucket ... one of Alaska's little wonders, lets keep it productive!

unfortunately there is a water taxi (not me!) that has been taking 3-5 boatlaods of clammers to china poot every low tide cycle in may-june-july for years, and the clients are intent on harvesting every clam they are legally entitled to. that's a heck of a lot of clams....
