Most likely it is an offer made to forum members or locals. Or anyone for that matter.

Seems like one hell of a deal. If I had an ambition for blackies..I would plop down $2500 in a heartbeat. (charter, lodging, atv included)

And they hadn't pair for the right to advertise.

actually "icebear" is a site administrator, and the "mike" referred to is the owner of the site.
i assume he just wanted to post the ad, not have a discussion.... if you are interested, call him.

One way to avoid the Ethical Debate that this Forum is ALIVE with!!!
I wish each member had the keyboard controls, whereas they could post and lock!!! Sure would make it a 'nice place' to come and find out what is happening, instead of getting gang raped.

I think folks might perk up and be more friendly once they start killing bears and catching fish. It's been a long time since anyone had anything good to report.

agreed, for everyones positive experience you can almost count on someone chiming in with a negative comment on it. They did this wrong, that was unethical, that shot was out of his range, why did you keep that big of a halibut, how come all you catch is chickens, don't you know how to get the big ones? You were in my shrimp spot, you anchored where I wanted to anchor, .................

Also cant wait for the 1st legit black bear story so they can come along and rip the poster a new hole for using either an inadequate caliber or two they ripem apart for whatever reason they see fit. People cannot post a simple hey congrats... As far a fishing goes the state could write the whole river bank up for snagging lol...

So, what threads are you guys reading?

I've been following two fresh Bear success stories,
"My Kodiak Bear," and, "My 100th Bear,".....

Not seeing too many (if any? ????) critics or "Debbie Downers" there.
One guy even took his Kodiak Bear with a Bow,
Not a negative comment yet, on that choice of caliber,

seems quite a few have the ability to just post a simple Congrats, if not quite a bit more in the positive

I guess you'll see what you're lookin' for tho

You might try lightening up with your advance criticism or low expectations of everyone else,
and you might see quite a few of us are having a great spring already

SE Bear, is getting pretty good also,.....

Sorry Amigo, a bit off subject on ya, just seems conversations like these last few are what keep folks from posting the good stuff.

WHO CARES, about the hunt critics, anyway?

    KR,
You posed a question...Do you REALLY want me to answer your question? Do I dare formulate/populate a list to compare to the two you cite?
    I will if you insist.

Oh give it time those two threads will go south, it usually happens when the thread hits the 3rd page...

I find it best to just post the "usuall" and it's Best to leave mesurments and numbers caught out and just put pictures on. Gives the critics less leverage to ruin what I am posting. Often, in the face of this boards critisizims, I just laugh and dont even respond.
Often "Good job" in response is more than enough.

what is a real shame is the ammount of raceisim thats allowed to be posted, and our Moderators allowing it, unless theres someone standing up for our fellow Americans, Ive seen that any proper response to racist remarks will soon be edited out.

I agree with you Amigo, it does look like it should belong in the Discounted Services forum.
    Oh well, such is life.
As nice as the lodge may be I think if I were to drop that coin on a black bear hunt I would like it to be in SE where they are a little bigger on average.

The thread in question is locked because the last time a hunt of this nature was posted--it turned into a guide bashing thread. The mods put an end to the negative nancy stuff before it started. Good job mods!

Great hunt--great price--great folks running the camp.
