    Default Unit 22D Spring Bear

While out hunting with my good hunting buddy, we ran across this bear.

now the real work begins...the posturing of the trophy, ensuring that your accomplishment will be recorded for future generations of hunters (or flag waving material if you prefer)...

we skinned the critter out and continued our journey to fill the partners' tag...spring_bear_2011_016.jpg

We spent the rest of the day looking for a suitable bruin, but our luck was used up (we saw just one other bear which was let go for future harvesting).

After skinning out the skull, we squared the fella to nine feet...9'4" claw to claw and 8'8" nose to tail!

The local ADFG biologist green scored his skull at 25 7/16...

needless to say the good hunting buddy is now known as the great hunting buddy!!!!
