The Anchorage Daily News reports that the City of Soldotna and the Kenai Peninsula Borough have joined the city of Kenai with a view to reducing pollution in the river that is so much a focus of interest in Southcentral Alaska.

"Soldotna and the Kenai Peninsula Borough have tentatively agreed to form a river cleanup committee with the city of Kenai, with a mission of pressuring the state to address the river's long-standing fuel pollution problem and possibly enacting local measures to keep boats from soiling the water," the ADN wrote.
