Default Old aviation saying I just heard

In the aviation community, there's an old saying when trying to identify photos of old airplanes:

    If it's ugly, it's British.

    If it's weird, it's French.

If it's ugly and weird, it's Russian.

That's funny! And sounds about right (except some British warplanes, spitfires are quite handsome in my opinion)
At sea, it's force not reason that confers sovereign rights

    If it's ugly, it's British.
Unless of course it is / was one of the following:

    Sopwith Pup
    Sopwith Camel
    SE-5
    Hawker Hurricane
    Supermarine Spitfire
    DeHavilland Mosquito
    Hawker Tempest
    Hawker Fury
    Dehavilland Hornet
    The Canberra
    The Neptune
The Vickers Vulcan aka Avro Vulcan
    Panavia Tornado
    The Typhon

Those all pretty much look exactly like a plane should look.
