Default Converting Honda 9.9 from 20" to 25" shaft. Any tips? Deals on 25" extension

Hi, i'm thinking of Converting Honda 9.9 from 20" to 25" shaft. This is to allow mounting kicker on transom without Garlick bracket. Anybody done this?

Hey, I've got a Honda 9.9 that I want to convert from a 25" to a 20". Maybe we can make a deal.

I've done the same conversion on an old 2-stroke I had. It's pretty easy.

I'll determine the year of my motor, i think its a 2007. But will confirm and then see whats compatible. May take a few weeks as i'm out at work and live in Sterling. What year is your motor?
    Thanks, Mark

Mine's a 99. Looks like it won't match up... bummer.

    Rod,
Thanks for trying, I'm going to give the 20" shaft a try. The cavitation plate is below the hull and should get clean water. It is however not below the "keel" because of the "V". As soon as water opens up down here in Sterling.
