    Default Tri Hull boats?

I don't know much about tri hull boats and I''m curious about their seaworthiness and suitability in salt water. I've seen a couple fiberglass tri hulls available on craigslist/AKlist and I'm looking for something I can fish Seward/Homer/PWS/Lake Louise/Skilak & Kenai Lake with (I'm assuming that a boat with an inboard engine would be a 4 stroke). Not looking to venture too far in the salt water but wanting to troll for silvers and fish halibut.

So...what's the scoop on tri hull boats?

Not sure what you are looking at, but my grandfather passed down a 16 foot 1970 crestliner trihull that we used to fish Fort Peck Reservoir in MT. More stable than a V hull. Beats the hockeysticks out of you though...rough rider when the water stands up (did have her out on "peck" in 7-8 footers one scary day.

Tri Haul boats will beat you to death just lile a flat bottom boat in anykind of chop. Very stable but not so good on the ride side
