Default Prince of Wales Road Conditions

Anyone know whether RD-21 between Twelvemile and Polk is open? If not, any ideas on when that'll clear up?

If that pass doesn't open up, is there any other way to get to Polk by truck?

You can drive to the deep snow, unload snow machine, go over top, to gravel, get off snow machine and hike to Polk, or get a boat out of Hollis and motor around, I tried to drive over once in the snow, just about lost the whole rig. This time of year the corn snow is very slick and can cause you to go off the road very quickly.

Only 80 Miles for that huge Black Bear, the first person to Polk has the best chance. With a 30 MPH boat it would only be a short run out and back. A couple hours each way should do it until the weather comes up, then an overnight stay might be necessary.
