    Default Frog legs

Anyone know where I can buy some frog legs in Anchorage?

Been wanting some and would rather buy local than order from outside.

Some of the few things I miss about the lower 48.....crawfish and frog legs!

I was at sagaya on old seward few days ago. They had mudbugs also have frog legs but this time of year they are frozen, not in fresh fish case.

Forgot about Sagaya. Thanks for the tip. They sell alligator and rattlesnake from time to time as well if I remember right.

You can get crawfish (American ones at that) at Fred Meyer. Not as good as fresh ones, but you take what you can get up here.

There's a specialty butcher in Anchorage...somewhere in midtown, I think. I can't recall the name, but I know they specialize in things like alligator, ostrich, etc.

It was on northern lights if I remember. No longer there.

Yeah, that place has been gone for a few years now. It is where the old Taco Bell used to be, now it is a cafe/catering place.

They used to carry fresh frog legs. Spendy, but a nice treat every now and then.

Good to know, but that's too bad. I never made it over there, but always thought it would be interesting to try some variety.

Place was owned by Wayne's Meat Market. It shut down shortly after he passed away.
