Fishing has been great considering the season. The last few trips with fellow forum members have produced! Just hope for little or no wind, it has howled a couple of times during the past couple of months. Definitely makes casting difficult when that occurs. I have truly taken appreciation to fly fish during months I would've never imagined myself fishing in this year. I definitely do not miss Ice Fishing, I'll take casting 1000 times to catch one fish over vertical jigging anyday, unless you catch one of those Harding Lake monsters of course. Good Luck, let us know how you do. Bead heads and smolt patterns have worked well lately!

    Fish On!
You know your not catching any fish when you start talking about the weather...

enjoy the combat fishing... maybe we should put a schedule up on this board or something, the only time I got any solitude on the Kenai this past year was when it was -15F and strangely mid july... Last weekend the bridge looked like the sanctuary.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
