    Default New halibut regs

I just read that the SE will change over to 1 fish a day and a 37" max length?WOW this will kill the charters in the south for sure.

Did they seriously max that at 37"? There isn't even a slot? That is messed up!! To bad the public sector doesn't have a huge pot of money to hire lobbyists.

Don't worry the SE requirements will be here in South Central soon enough. Then there will be lots of cheap charter permits for sale.

    17. How many halibut may my anglers catch and retain?
For 2011, the charter bag limit for Area 3A is two halibut of any size per day per angler unless a more restrictive bag limit applies in federal regulations at 50 CFR 300.65. For Area 2C the daily bag limit is one halibut per charter vessel angler per calendar day that is no longer than 37 inches (93.9 cm) with the head on. The filleted halibut carcass must be retained onboard the vessel.
