    Default Hydraulic Steering?

Last year a friend ran my boat and recomended converting my cable push/pull to hydraulic steering on my Wooly Xtra Plus.
What are the advantages? Is it worth the $500 for the conversion?
    What are your thoughts?
    Thanks,

Look into stick steer too. No electrical, hydraulic or cable to break.
When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

After years of dealing with cable steering, I put a Baystar system on my 17-foot Arima a few years ago. It took one trip to figure out that I will never own a boat with cable steering again. Yeah, I think it's worth the money.

Would you drive a car with manual steering? Sure, if you had to. But why would you want to?

I too heard it was a well appreciated upgrade by another person with a Wooldridge. Quicker response time and a smoother feel were much better with hydraulic steering.
