Default Moose nuggets as seed starters?

Had some fun with moose nuggets last year.
Drill a hole in the flat end about 3/8" deep. (one end tapered, one end flatter, by nature)
Drop in a broccoli seed & cover. (I used sand & MN drill dust)
keep them moist. (I used a small tray with sand so they'd stand straight)
    Wa-La, Nature made seed starters.
Learned it works, not enough nutrients so need to drop in a
4" pot & keep moist for roots to work into new soil.
Fun stuff you can do in Alaska.
I think if you drill a little larger & deeper hole, add some good soil then the seed & cover
then maybe then soak them in some water with mild dissolved plant food would help.
    It is kinda fun though

Great Idea! It is the ultimate biodegradable seed starter. I like this idea better than poo-pori or moose nugget jewelry.
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

LOL...all you need to do now is patent and market this idea. Maybe find some mini flowers to start in those and you could create a whole mini garden from moose pellet starts. I'm sure this could be the next big fad in gardening.

I tried it again & when the seed sprouted,
planted the nugget in a small pot & a few drops of plant food.
Got better results & better root formation.

    Stil , it's fun
