    Default Recurve turkey

Went to South Dakota turkey hunting and was able to take a jake with my recurve. Weather was not the best got a lot of rain while I was there. But managed to get this one to come close enough to give me a shot. Wet turkeys don't take a very good picture. I got a complete pass though and he ran about 30 yards before he went down.
Used a Toelke TD recurve 53# at 30", Beman MFX 340's with 50 grain brass inserts, tipped with a 200 grain STOS broadhead. Total arrow weight 650 grains.

That's awesome. Turkeys have great eyesight. Let's hear the story.
