    Default 165 Accubond

Has anybody had any success with them in a 300 wsm. I have a couple of hundred of them and would like to find a good load using them for me and my son. Thanks

I have used 69.0 gr of H-4350 in my 300 H&H for years and it works great. I realize that these are different cases but the have the same case capacity and ballistics. Might be a good place to start.

Thanks for the reply. My rifle shoots the 180 grain bullets very well but I would like to find a good load for the 165's I have. If nothing else I will shoot them in 308 win because it likes the 165's.

they work just fine in 300 WSM as do 180 and 200 - accuracy depends on the rifle and you

Try some of the new Revelution powder. One of my friends is getting 3200 fps with 165 gr in a 26" barrel and is shooting well under 1". He is starting to use it for 1000 yd matches. With 180 in a short action, it eats up to much powder space. Good luck. J.

IMR 4007 SSC and 200gr Accubonds are a great combo in my 325 wsm which is the same case as your 300. Just necked up to a .323. I think I can get about 65 gr of powder in the case with the long 200gr. Enough to get 2950 fps out of it. I would think you should be able have quite a shooter with that 165er.

That's way too much H4350 for the 165's in the WSM.

You should really be looking to start at around 64.5 grains of H4350 and work up to around 66.5. If you're looking to get velocity performance, try a pound of RL17. The burn rate is very similar to H4350, but you'll yield better velocity. I have two 300 WSMs and with the 165 grain bullets one of them likes to run them at 67.5g RL17 and the other likes to run them at 66.3 gr RL17. Both guns produce 3200 fps with this load.

Yup, Kimber MT. I'm at 65.5gr 4007 SSC and Just under 2950 fps.

thank you Snyd, I never tried 4004 SSC with the 200's but it works stellar with the 220's

This sounds like a dandy for 308 winchesters. might have to give it a shot along with the 180.
