$4.39 at Wasilla Essential One. Plus now instead of a soft drink if you get 50 gallons or more you get a soft drink, a hotdog and a snack bag of chips.

As a side not....Now you have to give them your CC and ID before they will come out and let you fill your tank. So some scumbags were filling up and driving off without paying. Making things more expensive and inconvenient for the rest of us. At least they are still selling AV gas.

Happy retirement to John at Suburban Propane. We pumped a lot of avgas into my truck through the years. Last Friday was his last day. I was a week too late. Happy trails, John. Enjoy your days.

Well that is something.... I am going up to Anchor-Town next week with the one-ton and was going to buy a couple hundred gallons from him.

$8.69 in McGrath and $8.05 in Nome last week.

Nome is served by Crowley and still does not have self serve cardlock pumps. The Crowley guys will not fill 5 gallon jugs either no matter how hard you beg. I would also say access in and out of the GA ramp at Nome is just insane. You have to get the FSS guys to let you in and out of their access door (when they have time). There are no man gates with Cypher codes. And getting a vehicle out on the GA ramp to put all your gear into? Not happening unless you know someone.

You can buy fuel from Bering Air in Nome during normal business hours. They let me pump it myself and that included a 5 gallon bag of gas.

On the note of fuel, I use a lot of car gas in my 912 powered plane. Exclusively when I can. Does anyone know a place I can get autogas, preferably 90 oct without road taxes? Similar to off-road diesel. We called it farm diesel where I grew up.

maybe a boat harbor. But they will have a Spill Tax added, so it would be a wash.
