Question Releasing giant kings a question. . .

I heard recently that some Kenai king anglers, when they get a really big fish on, take the boat to shore, get out and while standing in the water in waders, fight the fish to exhaustion, and take some "hand's-on" photos before releasing the fish.

Is this true? If so, is it normal practice on the Kenai? Is such practice a way of prolonging the fight and getting some "hands-on" photos? What about catch-and-release landing nets with special coated bags?

So what's the normal practice on the Kenai? How are giant kings released?

    Thanks. . .

We net them as fast as possible stick our heads down there and let them go. Its a pretty quick process.
