    Default Switch rod + Skagit line = 100 feet!

    yesterday tried a new
    MOM tips (heavy T-14) on main
    Airflo Tactical Skagit Compact line 480 grain
    rod Gloomis 8wt 11ft ( switch - rod ).
    very inpresiv !!!
    casting over 90 feet, simply and easy.

    If you think the 480 hums, try the 510 - you can throw the heaviest MOW tip and half a chicken, and not have to work near as hard.

    Speaking of skagit line, how many different grains do you guys typically carry for switch rod? I like the power of my heavier line (475 I think) but it doesn't exactly provide a subtle presentation. Should I carry a smaller grain for smaller water?
