    Default season winding down pics

The season is winding down and I am on spring break...but the snow conditions are horrible. Dogs are struggling greatly. We (dogs and I) are slogging up and down the mountains for short periods of time...trying not to overwork and injure the dogs.
The birds however can run like crazy and the dogs cant pin them down because it the going is so slow. Once in a while we catch a dumb one.

Been that way on the peninsula too although this weekend it was a little better, my setter was able to run on top about half the time. Still great to be up there with the dogs. Thanks for sharing.

Nice stuff, Burke! Some of my best ptarmigan areas have recieved more snow this spring than previous years, and some areas are very icy and severely windblown and inhospitable to ptarmigan as well as my dogs and me. But we're still having fun and hope to continue right on up to the season ending on April 30th.

    Thanks for sharing.
