With all the talk of crab on the saltwater fishing forum I happened to mention making crab stuffed mushrooms. Someone asked for the receipe so here is the one I used It is really really good. We have also made this receipe with larger portobella caps as a main dish and that worked well also.
Everyone will reach for seconds when you make this hors d'oeuvre favorite!
Makes: 18 mushrooms

1/3 cup Mayonnaise
3 Tbsp. Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 can (6-1/2 oz.) crabmeat or 1 cup frozen crabmeat, thawed
18 medium mushrooms, stems removed
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. In small bowl, blend Mayonnaise, bread crumbs, cheese and garlic; fold in crabmeat. Evenly spoon mixture into mushroom caps.
