    Default Ketchikan Self Guided Trip

My buddy and I are coming to the Naha Bay area for a 7 day self guided trip at the end of June. Are there good Halibut grounds in the area and any good river or stream fishing in the area of Naha Bay? We are staying at the Naha Bay Lodge. Thanks for any info

What will you have for a boat? There is alot of great fishing close. I live about 18 miles north of Naha in Neets Bay

I bet they give you a GPS with good holes other wise look for dropoffs and humps
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

The Naha river in June will have some pretty good trout fishing maybe even a few late steelhead, I wouldn't expect much for salmon though, too early. Best fishing for me was above the church camp which is about 1 mile above saltwater, on up to the lake, good hiking trail all the way.
As for halibut, I didn't spend much time looking for them anywhere around the Naha, did salmon fish the area occassionally and had some decent days but what I really remember about the Naha area and around Grant Is/Back Is. were the dogfish, lots and lots of dogfish in the area. Good luck
